I live in Scotland so I never see immigrants. Outside of Glasgow you'll hardly ever come across any. Kadagar should move here if he thinks Sweden's gone to pot.

The only place I have ever been assaulted was in Glasgow. Returning from a night out and in the company of my navy squad buddy and some local lassies, a group of adolescent wannabe thugs (about 6-7, though when I tell the story - it was at least a dozen) got their asses handed to them.

The problem with local thugs is reprisals. If you beat them up, they might torch your car or vandalize other assets you own.
While visiting a lassie in South Nitshill ('93), I saw a guy chase some youngsters away from his car with a hammer (they had been deflating his tires as a prank), the next time I visited, there was a burned out car in that exact spot.
Though very satisfying to let loose the natural man, there is wisdom in taking the high road.
