So... I was walking around this corner

Yepp, an immigrant gang sure was there... One of them went up to me and asked for a smoke (I was smoking). I politely refused and walked on through...

So, this black guy walks after me, start to call me "son of a whore" and stuff... Very unswedish but very african in his demeanor, I must say.

Regardless, I kept an eye on my back, and as he went to shove me, I turned around and hit him. And hit him. And hit him.

Unfortunately for this poor guy, I had a Flexi leash in my hands... So it kind of worked like brass knuckles...

The leader of the immigrant gang then started to run towards us, but my wolfie, bless him, came around the corner, intercepted their leader, snapped and barked, and had him call off his attack on me...

Their leader stopped, the guy I had was on his knees...

Me and my wolfie walked on, last thing I saw was this black guy assaulting me spitting teeth out of his mouth...

So yeah, a really good day, and my wolfie sure got some extra treats...

All in all though, I felt redeemed from the last time I was assaulted and had nothing to give :(

So apart from it all, it's a success story for me!! After the last time I was assaulted I have honestly felt like less of a man, like a victim... These black guys and my wolfie sure helped me get over it....

And don't be so hard on yourself, agression is scary. You didn't lose your balls the first time you got assaulted, there is nothing to prove if you are outnumbered.

These attacks are about humiliating mostly. I expect Kads to be a very handsome guy, you won't become a ski-instructor if you aren't goodlooking. That is probably why they picked him. It isn't about money, it are basicly racist attacks.

This is very true. Like the mugger who starts by asking you for a dollar. Walking away and keeping your distance is the best approach.

I know that many years ago, there was a group of redneck gay-bashers in my hometown who used to use this very technique. I knew a guy in University who was put in the hospital by them...they ask for the cigarette because it lets them get close, gets the person to let down their guard and may distract the target while they dig one out for the person.

Anyway, around here it is more often three white guys going after someone who looks different, talks different, or has a different sexual preference.

Glad to hear things went well for you this time. But as has been said I always was told if someone asks you for a light or some small change, its maybe a trick so they can catch you off your guard and see where you keep your wallet or whatever.

Just avoid gypsies they are pro's. If you are really being mugged just give them what they want, it isn't worth it to put up a fight. You will feel bad about not putting up a fight but it's better to just hand things over.

I would take what he says seriously, Sweden is really in a position that was never necesary, it is not a pleasant country anymore. They had everything perfectly arranged untill they embraced multiculture. They took in people from the most backward places in the world (got anything to prove?) and it's a disaster when considering what a nice country it was.

I can't believe that Sweden is now one of the worst places to be a woman in the western world, that absolutily wasn't always like that.

In Scotland you have drunk violence, it's not fundamentally sexist violence, or in general outright contempt of their host country who is stupid enough to welcome those who hate them.

I honestly think giving them a smoke diminishes the chance of being attacked....

With that said, I am not comfortable with having to pay some sort of "side walk toll" to immigrant gangs, and I am prepared to stand my ground and face the consequences.

But then I am 1,87 tall and am rather well built, and have trained martial arts. My advice generally would be to "bend" for ones own safety... As Frags say, if you get robbed just give them your items, it''s not worth it. In this case however, there were no weapons visible and I knew I had a 47kg wolfie behind the corner on my command.

Having a dog has changed my life SO much... Not only do I have a constant bodyguard, he also changed the world around me... It's hard to explain in a short way, but people INTERACT quite differently with you when you have a big wolf by your side... I mean like people next to you on the subway who are suddenly all smiling, children walking up to you, people throwing a "Nice dog!!" and a big smile as you pass...

I only regret not getting a wolfie earlier!!

While visiting a lassie in South Nitshill ('93), I saw a guy chase some youngsters away from his car with a hammer (they had been deflating his tires as a prank), the next time I visited, there was a burned out car in that exact spot.
Though very satisfying to let loose the natural man, there is wisdom in taking the high road.

I wouldn't read to much into "retribution", if I know PVC right. He meant that from a psychological perspective, I believe... I had been damaged by immigrant gangs, I walked out of the next situation having damaged them. So retribution....

I don't think he in any way would be positive towards the idea of me beating up some random blokes for looking black.

I only hit the guy when he went to shove though, mind you. Sticks and stones... Fortunately I had some kind of reflex that made the "move away from the shove" the same action as hitting the guy. Then sure I did it some more, but they were like 5 so I had to make sure I got my attacker down before they could react.

I don't mean in the sense of "HA EVIL BROWN MAN, SEE HOW I SMASH YOUR TEETH".

What I meant was, "If you attack someone then you deserve to get punched and if you end up spitting teeth it's no one's fault but your own." So literal retribution - he assaulted you, from behind, and you hit him in response.

Which is the same as self defence, the nuance is that self defence implies (in England at least) that you should feel bad.
