I have no read on edse. The only person I'm at all suspicious of is Darth Feather (for the signature thing: you removed it when pizza joke-pressured you about it, and added it back when I pointed out that that looked like a flinch)

I care about saving my scum buddy edse on day one so blatantly, by the way, instead of joining his wagon or ignoring it entirely. That is totally what I would do if I opened my role PM yet and it said I was scum with edse.

This is your arena. I feel I must return to mine, with a convoluted scheme to capture the Viceroy even though I have no idea if I can bring down even one droid control ship, and there is a huge blockade of many, many ships, so you'd figure if I can bring down one, another would just take over. Because duh. No one would be that irresponsibly stupid, especially a guy whose master plan is to control the galaxy by persuading trade federation guys to block trade.

Faster Than Light - Day 1 - Civilian Sector

The Galactic Chutzpah warped into a civilian sector just before the Rebel fleet. They knew they had to get to the federation sector before the rebels did, otherwise they would stand no chance against the armada raised against them. Captain Zack and the rest of the crew set a course to the jumpgate and began their jumps to hyperspace. The first few beacons were quiet, only a couple of pieces of scrap from debris of old ships were drifiting around.

The crew was relieved at not finding anyone to fight, they didn't want to waste time in a battle which might cripple their ship. They needed to find a shop and stock up on some weapons to give them some much needed firepower. Unfortunately such a dream was only that, as the beacon before the shop turned out to be near a sun with a rebel ship lying in wait.

It hailed them with a burst laser into the shields, the salvo bursting through and crashing into the hull, just missing the medbay. Captain Zack orders the weapons to be charged and responds in kind with a missile to their shields, but the Rebel ship manages to evade at the last second. An exchange of lasers and the rebel ship's shield was disabled whilst the Galactic Chutzpah's engines were knocked out.

Stranded in space, Zack called upon edse to repair the engines at any cost. The sun chose this moment to flare however, and the engine room was littered with fires. Edse tried to extinguish them, but their ferocity was too much for him and he began to evacuate and order the unlock procedure for the hull doors to suck the oxygen out of the room, when yet another laser salvo hit the door control. Edse was stuck.

The Galactic Chutzpah's laser salvo combined with its missile and the fires on the rebel ship were too much, and it exploded into a million pieces. But the victory was bittersweet with the loss of edse, who had nobly given his life for the cause.

Faster Than Light - Day 1 - Civilian Sector

The beacon before the sector exit contained a nebula, normally nebulas would be avoided especially if the ship was damaged but they had to slow the fleet's pursuit, even if it was only for a little while. The ship flew into the nebula and drifted through it blindly, the nebula deactivating the sensors. Eventually they stumbled upon the wreck of another Federation ship in the midst of being destroyed by an ion storm.

The crew decided the reward was worth the risk and attached El Barto to cables connected to a ship to pick up the scrap and other materials. He managed to bring back a weapon upgrade and some usable parts, but on his last trip the cable severed and he drifted off into the storm before he could be locked on and he was gone for good.

As the ship finally made it through the storm and the nebula, they came out near the exit beacon, with two choices. They could jump to a Mantis sector, potentially filled with hostile pirates who love to board ships, or through an engi sector, which might have some useful allies in there.
