Auto-win battle

Hi, i'm in the middle of a great legendaray campaign as the mighty Oda clan. I have rapidly expanded to the east through the rich lands of Hojo and i took the whole corner. I'm in a great diplomatic situation, despite having expanded aggressively.

Unfortunatly, one of my beloved general got trapped in a town by a landing invasion of one of those numberous tiny clans that declared war on me:( i know it's not the legendary way but i would like to save him if i can. Is there any way to auto-win a battle in shogun 2? I remember there were some cheats in medieval 2 but i'm pretty sure they won't work. Or some way to rewind a turn (which i doubt) ?

If not, i'll deal with it, but i just would like to know if there is a way.

I've not played the legendary difficulty (I'm just not that good) so props to you for giving it a whirl!

Check out this thread regarding legendary difficulty. In it they discuss the one-save issue. Sounds like going outside the game and copying the legendary save file is the way to go. Here is a link: Legendary difficulty.
