If I have some units in an army that I no longer want and I disband them are there any consequences further on from the units leader? Memory is a bit foggy but I seem to remeber some mention of disbanded unit leaders becoming rebels ..... cant find anything in the manual though.

As said they become available right away in the province or one close by as mercs.
The other factions might then hire them, and that can potentially be bad if you disbanded a great general because he was disloyal.

in my last campain as Byz. I had 2 disband several 1000s maybe 10000s of men, just so i could get a + in my profit.
