In both cases, I tend to be quiet early game to not get killed and slowly ramp up my activity as I get more data from people die-ing. Then I lay out cases on people (either the people I think are scum, or the people who aren't on my team, if I am scum).

I would mercilessly go after people who seemed suspicious for whatever small or inconspicuous reason until they're either lynched or killed.
