To add to edyz advise, bring a good bit of yari samurai too. They will handle the cavalry.

Indeed. As Gregoshi said, yari samurai are quite useful is more or less every encounter. Add some naginata with them or some swordsmen and you're good to go. Just keep your archers safe, make sure they do damage and you should be able to work it out.
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.
A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?
Just to emphasize edyz's point, your salvation does not lie with the army in the castle. I think it will get chewed up pretty bad by Takeda Shingen (of all people!). A properly composed relief army and the right terrain is your best hope.

Thank you for all of your replies ! The only army I have in Kyoto is my next daimjo and his 6 or 7 archers, and I don't have any yari samurai
Archers are really useful, so use them.![]()
