You're a suspect because you're not trying to find scum. Defense of town means nothing alignment wise, plus I'm not exactly convinced Monty isn't scum. He's barely edged over to neutral status.

My town core right now is Monty-Crimson-Visor-Pelican-Choxorn, though with the caveat that Visor could be potentially powering through and trying to take Choxorn along for the ride. Will deal with that down the line.

Why are you using his changing of position regarding Monty as a factor in the question of asking why you're a suspect?
