    Default Thread-closing versus restraining orders

I get that it might be easier for the mods to close threads than to bar specific users from participating in them, but I wonder if the latter option has at all been considered. I think it's better for a forum with lower activity (maybe any forum, for that matter) to allow threads to remain open (and topics to be debated) if they have actually produced productive content.

    Was temporary for clean-up purposes.

I have been searching for possible alternatives opposed to 'outright ban' from the forum, and I think a solution was found in a 'Ban from Thread' function, I will be experimenting with this.

Any users who cannot "Keep their cool" in certain threads, will find their access to these threads revoked. This can be expanded to the sub-forum as a whole, if it continues in multiple topics.

Is it a cycle of users or the same users over and over that would require this feature?
