There's a GreaseMonkey addin for Firefox which should let you install the plugin in Firefox, but I haven't tested that in ages.

The program is returning incorrect results in the ongoing game, any reason for this to be happening? I made sure to load every page individually, but the tally is incorrect.

Just simply post vote: x. You don't need to unvote.
If you absolutely want to unvote first, do it in a separate bolded segment, e.g. Unvote and Vote: x

In general, if a vote is recognized by the script, the post header will indicate that the post contains a vote.

That's all well and good, but the unvote is a crucial tactical, rhetorical, and symbolic element of the game and it must not be abandoned.
