So here we are, friends, with what looks like it could be a real example of a royalist being paranoid of looking like they were on the bandwagon of an innocent townsperson. Your average mafia will not want to be on the day one lynch, because if that comes up as an innocent, it'll be the first place we go barging in to beat the nillies out of people. So, I think I'll go ahead and slide my vote on over here, and I'll encourage all of you to think about this for yourselves and see how it rings to you.

So jokes aside, here is my notable impressions from day 1.

I'm having trouble deciding whether certain impressions imply scum or are just a product of this setup. Everyone who is not in my faction has every reason to want me out of the game, unless they think they can use me somehow later. So is a push on me scummy, or just factional. Is there any functional difference between the two? That's giving me a bit of a headache in deciding who does and doesn't appear scummy.

Zack is bouncin around a lot, (seriously man, think about laying off the caffeine) but he doesn't appear to be acting scummy. He pokes at me, but then when someone jumps on that poke (Lewwyn) he not only defends me (ish) but finds it justification to vote against him. To me that implies that he is either scum trying to buddy up, or is legit wolf hunting. I'm inclined to go with the latter.

That being said, I think Lewwyn's point isn't unjustified completely. I obviously think he is wrong, but I can see how a towny could come to that conclusion. To me this falls more under the category of pushing to drop someone from another faction. Plus he's still mad at me for our last game :P

I think I'm in a larger group when I find ATPG's list to be sketchy. I can't find any justification for the claims hes making there, and the simple act of making them this early seems to be useless at best. WIFOM won't let me make a call either way on whether a wolf would do that, but ultimately I find it more than a little mafiaesque.

I think it's worth noting that the wagon on Bsmith is literally comprised of 3 people who have a total of 5 posts between them.

On Renata. I feel this absolutely falls under the auspices of getting rid of opposing faction members that are skilled as early as possible. Renata was absolutely one of the two MVP's in my game (the other being our host) and she played a massively effective role in the previous game as well. I'm not getting anything from her messages that scream wolf, and I'm not sure if the existing votes on her are joke votes or not.

Basically I have no freaking clue how to hunt scum at this point. This isn't a huge deal at the moment, as usually this time of day 1 I think scumhunting is shooting a shotgun blindfolded at a party full of children, and trying to pop the pinata. If I don't figure out something by tomorrow however, this is going to be a long and frustrating game.
