Questioning a contradiction is almost never suboptimal. Questioning contradictions and challenging people is how you play the game, you don't just wait for scum to hand you blatant slips and clear evidence.

Except that likely is what he meant, but it's not what he said:

So I asked him exactly that myself, and he hasn't responded as far as I can see while I'm typing this.
You're answering for him. I hope you understand why
you really shouldn't be doing that.

So have those few players also visited the Playground, or did you just contradict yourself?
How does that not answer the question?

Paraphrased version:
Logic: "I played one game on the org. I've never played anywhere but the Playground."
novice: "Um, what? Your statements contradict themselves"
Logic: "I forgot to specify the second sentence means EXCEPT for the one game on the Org, I've only ever played on the Playground."
Am I being unclear? Am I allowing for more than one interpretation?

By that category, I didn't mean people who were posting little, but anyone who I hadn't seen any real content from. You had made posts at that point, but none that I saw as having relevant, important content, like the others there. Few of the players had made that many posts when I posted that, but you're the only one who reacted like this.
Because the question was not where you played. His question was that it sounded like you were saying even those handful of players hadn't played with you.
And you could have answered that clearly by saying that you meant
besides for those players, anyone who hadn't played on the Playground hadn't played with you, but you didn't.
What do you think of cuth answering for you?

I merely disagree that I was nitpicking...
I expected to learn whether or not Logic had played with any of us before.

Since that could be unclear, I mean that the others in that list had no meaningful content either.

But anyway, understood.

The information was not incorrect; I've no particular feelings about it either way. I took his answer to be an assessment of his experience with me on the Playground. He gave a third party opinion on the question posed.
Had his interpretation of my clarifying statement been incorrect or incomplete, I would have had been complled to clarify that the answer in no way speaks for me. In general, if someone wants to answer a question asked of me before I get to it, and the answer is not wrong and needs no clarification, then I only clutter up the conversation by repeating their statement as an agreement, so I am usually fine with letting the statement from someone else stand as is.

I guess you could call me an oversharer. I can't let things stand at a simple miscommunication, and I feel the need to explain myself all the time, even when not necessary, such as the context of a game such as this. It's a bad habit of mine. I would say ask the other Playgrounders, but I think Cuthillius is the only one I have played with any frequency to be able to vouch for this behavior of mine.

My clarifying paragraph I think perfectly answers the question, but if this nex part doesn't completely clarify, then I think I am incapable of explaining it.
I have played with a small number of the non-playgrounders in a single game here on the Org. This is a condensed version of sentences 2, 3, and 4 of this quote:

...Okay? I don't see how this connects to what I said.
But that's a good thing, as I said before, I will pursue any seeming contradiction or oddity from someone for as much as it takes for me to be satisfied, and the habit of being sure you're completely understood, I feel, is a good practice. If I don't understand you, you're likely to be a suspect.

I don't take D1 seriously. Others may not be posting seriously either. I see a lot people trying to change a few gears down from the unnecessarily competitive atmosphere in MU to this one, but they'll settle in. :)

Sooh's fireworks post is the best thing itt so far. I have yet to fully digest everything that has been said by the top three posters so far. I've been binge watching netflix and I'm sick, so my brain is a bit scrambled at the moment. I'll probably get around to actually reading everything fully tonight, and post thoughts then. I've just been skimming the thread tbh.

This is how I understand this conversation to be going. This is all my paraphrased version, so please forgive me if you feel I am attributing something to you that is not your intent:
SeveringViper: "People that aren't talking include Logic."
Logic: *Oh! Someone said I'm not contributing! I must clarify why I am not talking!* "I don't post much on Saturdays and Sundays†."
SV: "I never called you out SPECIFICALLY"
Logic: "But, my name was in a list! See?"
SV: "Yeah, I still didn't call you out specifically. You didn't post anything of content up to that point. Chillax, bro."
Logic: "I mansplain too much!"
SV: "Ok, non sequitor."
Everyone else: *uncomfortable silence‡*
†
Exception: I am at a work computer, on mandatory overtime, with no projects to actually complete.

Not quite, but I'm a fan of self-deprecating humor.

Since you're asking someone to make their avatar more noticeable(?), I have to note you don't have one? :3
Anyway..
Open question, let's say I really don't like talking so much and would rather someone else do even half the amount I've done today.
Who do I trust to take the stand so I can comfortably shut up? Please convince me by the time night falls. :)

You should enable using profile pictures as avatars. The instructions are available on the forum page.

Just leave things be. As I told you, people here don't need to post every thirty seconds or so as in MU.

Well, I have to admit I missed what you meant by talking about your explaining tendencies, so that's a strike for me.
I think that the conversation did accomplish something, at the least, I would say I got some understanding of you out of it.
Also, don't hold back from saying anything you honestly think for the sake of avoiding offending me, it can only hurt town. I will challenge you if I think you're misrepresenting me, but only because that's something scum do, and I want to find them myself. We both want to be understood correctly and find scum to lynch, staying quiet to avoid conflict goes nowhere.
I've been trying to break that silence myself, but so far nobody can or wants to bite, unfortunately.
Nothing wrong with some humor of any kind, I'd say. Well, unless it breaks site rules, in which case it's probably dark enough that I'd like to see it myself anyway :3
