Just saying for if we ever have a need to put him down: we knew he was a snake!
As a snake, I'm impressed with how boldly you're misrepresenting here. ^^

I wasn't aware an average role game meant it was at all likely for there to be two of a specific role.

So where was your vote or voice before, brave scum Montmorency? Or were you that unsure that you had to wait to claim a roleblock that would mean nothing?

You are aware.

I was not around for EOD after checking GH's case.

Interesting also, that you find scum given to claims that mean nothing.

That's only the beginning of the issue here, and you haven't been helping that so far.

Fair enough.

Please, no "scum wouldn't make that kind of slip" nonsense. The explanation for the vote was terrible.

Making random false claims is hardly just a "slip". You protecting GH by making a false claim would be more of a slip.

And I disagree.

As for roleblocks, keep in mind that these are one-shots, not static abilities.

Like yours? Hm, I was protecting him with the claim, you say? Don't you think that's an odd move when I could have just called out your poor reasoning?

Okay.

Fair point, but you'll excuse me if I still don't trust it. You might just change my mind about you, however.

Let's play a game, @Montmorency;. What do you think of Choxorn? Sooh? Novice?

If Choxorn has indeed tripped over himself, you have a case against him. But I don't see that he has tripped over himself, meaning on all other counts a town lean.

Sooh and novice have been making me uneasy, but they are neutral.

I have null on Barto, Champ, Manasi, Logic, Raith, Jabbz, and the lurkers. Town lean on Csargo.

And what of his suspecting you but not quite and avoiding putting his vote to back it up, then following your lead today?

Can you elaborate? Posts that give you that unease, at least?

A full reads list is nice, but if almost everyone is null, why bother? Does leaving me out mean a scum read?

Choxorn has said today that he is more suspicious of GH than before, which isn't a huge commitment. Of course you probably hold the lack of commitment against him. He spent EOD yesterday challenging Champ on Khaan, for very similar reasons that he is now being challenged on Khaan - then getting wagoned. After he came into danger, Choxorn defended conduct wrt Champ, which you at least partly accepted in post 383. Finally he chose Khaan over me in the three-way. If you want a view on Choxorn, read his only posts in the "Representative Democracy" game here, for which he was immediately identified as scum and lynched D1. If you can make a good comparison between that performance and Choxorn now, that would be helpful. Or, you would have more currency pointing out Cuth's position on Choxorn before he was NKed.

Sooh and novice are difficult. For Sooh at least, in the recent Swords and Sorcery game - which was absolutely loaded with blocks and jails - Sooh was a serial killer. She was rather aggressive in the field D1, then lurked as the noose tightened around her and the scum. On D1 her most suspicious behavior was a number of bogus soft-pushes. I thank her for posting that link to her character evaluation and playstyle. Keep an eye on it. The most worrisome things so far are the way she talks about me and her pedantry D1, where I don't feel she has been particularly focused on pedantry in her town D1s here. For novice, I need to reread Tokens of Confection.

I'm talking to you. I'll give my lean on you when its for someone else.

Did Manasi actually post in the thread D2 before she claimed she was poisoned?

(too tired to go searching)

Still feel like Monty's town, though he's obviously misguided in this case and his case on me is pretty bad. That said, I think, just by feel, of the people who have been hounding him on variants of the progression of "I blocked GH > there was still a kill at night > GH is scum" we have one scum in there trying to score easy points by pointing out a fairly obvious fallacy in thinking. On reread this is... Barto (sort of), autolycus, Viper, and BSmith. Let's rule Viper out, he appears to be genuine. Barto's was super early and didn't really point at Monty, just noted the error in Monty's reasoning. This leaves auto and BSmith.

Csargo also gets a townread for a mindmeld with me on this being not too terribly out of character for Monty.

-------

Jabbz, my case on khaan wasn't bad, stop shading me for it. He was a third-party role and his behavior was probably subtle altered because of it.

------

Manasi, why didn't you claim being poisoned at the start of the phase?

-------

Logic's Monty vote just now looks weird.

Vote: autolycus

I'll tell you the story that I poisoned Manasi last night with a one-off ability. Now I am, for all intents and purposes, what the gaming populace knows as a ‘vanilla townie’. I find it extremely odd that Manasi did not immediately request for help.

I can only speak for my end of the deal, but I hadn’t even read the thread yet when I made that post. It was truly random using a list of the players in excel and using that formula to get to the row number of the player to vote for. Monty was the lucky winner.

We'll put it down to improbable coincidences, shan't we?

Really? You were voting blind in earnest? Didn't you fear that would do more harm than good? Or would you have rerolled some results, so it wasn't really random? Why bother with an excel sheet at all, wouldn't it be simpler to just pick a scummy-sounding post and vote that person?
