Thread: Good faction for beginning player?

Default Good faction for beginning player?

Hi, I bought Shogun 2 a few months ago, and have decided to do a campaign now that I have the time. I was wondering what a good faction would be to play for someone who hasn't played this game before (I've played plenty of other total war games, but not this one yet).

Hi there! Welcome to the Org!

I suggest you start with a faction that is protected - perhaps the Uesugi or the Date clan can be of help. Shimazu might also work but keep in mind you will have tons of battles to do in the beginning.
Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

    Been to:

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?

+1 to Oda. It's better to start with the fraction which has cheap units.

Well chosokabe is great for me. Archers and location are good enough to build a stronghold island where you won't be bothered and farm income bonus is great
