I use my general and bring it in a certain point on the map but there is no option for building town watch. Any help?

Are town watches even worth the investment? Aren't they pretty weak?

Out of curiosity - what kind of town watch? As in the town militia?

    Been to:

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?

In TW:Empire, town watch is automatically provided. The cost and effectiveness depends upon your Minister of Justice. The grey hash marks in the army strength bar of the region capital represent their martial force. They will automatically be armed and prepared to defend the capital as soon as it is under siege. They disappear as a unit, returning to the city, when the siege ends.

Is it really worth it to invest in a town watch? Aren't they rather frail?
