Default Problems with Three Kingdoms ?

CA goes back to the roots? 18 units per battle!? Sounds like STW or MTW to me. Unfortunately, battle AI is much worse. Check the video.

To be honest with you, these are issues that are due to the engine rather than the game in itself. The engine is almost 10-12 years old, since they most probably developed it back in 2007 when building Empire TW.

The game engine needs to be updated to a totally fresh engine in order for the battles to be different.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?

Most of the issues look like a small bugs so fixing them shouldn't force CA to change the whole code. Even if some bigger changes would be needed they can do it at the beginning of development of a new title, right? IMHO It's not about the ability to fix it but rather lack of will to do it. New engine won't change much in this situation because it'll surely bring new bugs which CA will probably fix.. or not.

A new engine allows you to go in a different direction - you start fresh again, and you see what your previous limitations were. Plus, 12 years of advancement in technology goes a loooong way! Warscape was built for gunpowder warfare.

At least they seem to have realized that combat leaves much to be desired and pushed back the release further. Hopefully they'll fix it.

Unless they decide to push it back again, then yes.

Not exactly. The complete lack of animations is the result of the game being based on Warhammer. In Empire, Napoleon, Rome II and etc., animated combat always existed (a bit excessively, if I may say so), but not in Warhammer. In my opinion, it's preposterous that the game costs so much, despite featuring only a single culture (and thus requiring much less workload for unit designs, buildings and so on) and not even including animations or naval warfare.
