Default 15 Years at the Org

Oh well, it's been quite a long time, hasn't it? I joined on the 1st of May 2005. And if I recall correctly, it was during my IT class at school.

15 years spent around these places, glad to be part of this, very glad in fact. Thank you ladies & gentlemen for all of the fun memories, looking forward to more in our small corner of the internet!

Ja mata, TosaInu. You will forever be remembered.

Happy Anniversary, edyz! Hard to believe it has been 15 years. Would you ever have thought back then that you'd end up as the Forum Admin? Thanks for your contributions over the years and all you do now to keep this place going.

Congrats and hopefully many returns more.

    EDIT

And here was the Billboard #1 Hit for May 2005 "Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stefani.

George W. Bush was in his 2nd term as POTUS, Tony Blair was PM, the occupation of Iraq was leaving pretty much everybody underwhelmed.

    Meanwhile, in Romania....

I'm very close to 15 years on the Org.

I think I've got a hair or two growing white regularly now. Of course one gets the odd gray or white hair from early childhood from time to time, but this might be it.

Noticing your posts, I realize this year will mark my 20th here. I just turned 60 IRL too.

Glad that I'm still in touch with "Little John," insatiably curious about Life's wonders, still delighted by relatively simple things, and always ready for a good game.

Speaking of which, back to Stellaris. GL HF, y'all.

Haha! 50 didn't seem so bad for me, but I'm really feeling the 60. Good to hear from you, CBR. I hope you and yours are well.

Something you might find interesting: I recently got dumped by my cat. A neighbor who lives across the courtyard from me got a new kitty, younger and bold, and my Gurl just couldn't stand her. So she up and left me, now living with a couple in the duplexes next door and only comes by to visit once in a while. Before we met six years ago she lived over there with someone, so easy come, easy go, I guess. What a floozy!

Anyway, weird--and a bit humorous--to get dumped by my cat. All the best, m8.

Ah, the memories. When the internet was ultra vibrant, forums were bustling like street markets and if you wanted to see someone, you would have to call, not text or DM on Instagram.

I hope this forum doesn't disappear. At least what used to be still remains here and reminds us. The old members might have a time of reflection and think of looking at this forum again. This could be the fate of all internet forums - becoming monuments of our past. Events since 2020 have changed this world, many of which made it worse. I think this forum could remind us of what the world used to be long before 2020.
