Modifying descr_strat isn't working.

For some reason I had to reinstall a new copy of RTW. I got the 3 Roman campaigns but no unlockable/ unplyable factions.

I modified my descr_strat file at the usual location data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign as follows:-

campaign imperial_campaign
playable
egypt
seleucid
carthage
parthia
gauls
germans
britons
greek_cities
macedon
pontus
armenia
dacia
numidia
scythia
spain
thrace
romans_julii
romans_brutii
romans_scipii
romans_senate
end
unlockable

nonplayable

..................

But I don't get the nonplayable factions I copied over. Once I won the Julii campaign then the normal other factions were unlocked.

Am I missing something?

IIRC Barbarian Invasion created a second descr_strat file (for the vanilla campaign) in a different folder. The old one wasn't removed; but it wasn't used anymore either.

I could be wrong (it's been a long while), but this would explain your problem.
