We're near to 2023, and with the teams working on a future historical title, I expect that in 2023 we get a new announcement of the future game and in 2024 we see a launch.

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.
A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?
Excited to see what it will be!

"Am I not destroying my enemies when I make friends of them?"
-Abraham Lincoln
Four stage strategy from Yes, Minister:
Stage one we say nothing is going to happen.
Stage two, we say something may be about to happen, but we should do nothing about it.
Stage three, we say that maybe we should do something about it, but there's nothing we can do.
Stage four, we say maybe there was something we could have done, but it's too late now.
Well, I was right, we were close to a historical release. And here it is, Pharaoh TW, spanning esentially the period before the Bronze Age. There's plenty of information about the game in the video below, and I believe we can expect a release date of 2024 for this.
It remains to be seen whether this is going to be similar to Troy TW or more historical than that. Less mythology.

Since we're in 2024, I think it's a good time to remember that it's been about 25 years since Shogun Total War was announced...

February 1999 article in IGN.

Since we're discussing general TW topics, the new Pharaoh version, Dynasties, has a pretty detailed development of the map.
Wow, 25 years already? That’s wild. Feels like just yesterday I was trying to figure out how to not get completely steamrolled by the Takeda
That IGN article is a total time capsule. The hype back then was real—and honestly, Shogun still holds up in its own way. The start of something legendary.
Crazy to think how far Total War has come... and how far we’ve come with it. Drift Boss levels of strategy now
Thanks for the nostalgia trip, edyz!
