Hey Visor!
Yeah.. took some time off of TW games and then the RTW Remastered announcement came out of nowhere and brought me back to The Org.
I was thinking of a rpg in Remastered. Maybe a Roman faction since it is Rome Total War Remastered after all?
sounds fitting to me, got no preference for which roman faction.
i want to try three kingdoms sometime, but i'll wait for it to come down in price.
I personally liked Three Kingdoms. It didn't feel as a normal TW game tho. More like a rpg with real time battles.
So, Roman factions..
I would prefer Scipii faction.
Julii is the faction that everybody have played and it's probably the easiest.
Once you take over Greece as Brutii it's easy to steamroll the rest of the world.
With Scipii it's possible to go after Carthage or the Greeks or both in the same time. That would add variety to enemy armies we'll fight.
As for campaign difficulty H/H seems nice.
There is a bit more than a week before the Remastered Rome is released!
Scipii starts with 4 characters and 2 more will become of age within 5 in game years. Plus I hope it's easy to make generals recruitable just like in og RTW incase that is needed.
For ranks I'd like to keep things easy. Since roman factions are technically part of SPQR then no need for proper Cursus Honorum?
I would go with these ranks(I'll explain armies furter below):

And about armies

It's a bit barebones now but I'll make it look better later..
