How is playing glorious Achaemenes differ than conquering as I tried it a few times?

Hi, Age.
Glorious Achievements mode is basically a victory point system. Points are awarded based on homelands (owning faction specific provinces), conquests (number of provinces conquered) and crusade objectives (for Catholic factions). Points are counted in specific years. For example, conquering Antioch as a Catholic faction by the year 1204 will yield three "glory points" while conquering Palestine will yield a whopping nine points!
There's a screen you can open by clicking on the flashing chalice that will show you everything you need to know. Personally, I find the glorious achievements campaign adds an extra layer of immersion (besides total conquest), but beware: other factions can and do earn points, so the player may fall behind if he/she isn't careful.
Nice to see you here, and happy campaigning!

But if you eliminate a faction (which is inevitable in the course of the campaign) all its points diappear leaving you the only one with points even if there's a small amount of them.
Thanks .I thought I would as I am watching some of Med 2 .I thought I would give it shot this time got a few camps saved .

Good point. You shouldn't fall behind unless you're severely turtling (as I've been known to do).
