I'm sorry I was sadgeing yesterday it just felt like game shouldn't be this complicated rn and clear indication that it won't be getting easier.


What has happened now is that yeah everyone is a valid alternative and I'm not gonna say that I really wanted exactly this not to happen but uh yeah what's done is done i guess

I don't know what it'll take to change my read on cape, I feel like I was very thorough yesterday looking into cape/cuth /katze. I did not however look into hk and sleep properly except for like single comments but I guess I need to do that today even though I really didn't want to.

It's just kinda weeeeeh that we had a few people that a lot of smart people agreed should be the poe, and the more of them have died, the more we forget about this, and now we might take 2 of those into f3 and I feel like the reevaluation slash rereading that has just "started" could've been done a week ago and this wouldn't be the situation


I'm probably also just being mean and salty about it and it's not meant personally at all, its still a fun game and you're all great people, I just want to like, win tbh

Dobby - This one I struggle with and basically the thought here is that dobby is playing exactly how they would need to in order to win the game as wolf. GTH the biggest indicator that dobby could be a wolf here is how quickly they shifted perspective on me after being gung-ho for the better part of 2 game days HK wolf a relatively brief conversation flipped the script and now dobby is one of my biggest defenders. If dobby is the wolf the play is to take me to F3 and have me vote with him. This read functionally doesn't exist till F3 though.

The one thing I want to comment qbout here is that I've written "plays exactly like they need to to get to f3 and win" about both katze earlier in the game (qnd we are here now eith the exact same scenario I was accusing katze of trying to create) and yestergameday I wrote similarly about cape, and that has also worked out.

I'd want to argue that this isn't true for me though. I could play thos in a million different ways and especially leading up to today and not just in this way. I wasn't just townread by you so pocketing you when I've interacted with anyone wouldn't be a specific strat I needed to use if thst makes sense I'd say I wouldn't put in this much effort as wolf, but I would. Activity level is nai for me tbqh. If anything I have never top posted as wolf and barely ever as town iirc.


My thought is, who benefits the most of having a cpmmon game poe ish that then doesn't get yoinked and this player can therefore stay alive and nor be the main suspect, followed by now getting into f5 and the playerfield is fully open?

I wasn't really one of those before today, neither were you or sleep. And I think there's something to be said about this.

the thing is that i went back and reviewed and those people didnt really have cape in their poe, a lot of them thought he was town. the consensusish poe by most dead towns was katze/hk

its fine if you think cape is mafia and want to go with that, you are not beholden to their opinions and its possible they are wrong

anyway like i said, try to detach a little bit. it helps. you can still give it ur all just dont put too much emotions on the line. remember its just a game.

i actually think her posts toward ender and ladd are non-partnered in a way thats not too superficial, and they in particular react to her like they know she is town and are a bit bothered by the stuff she asks them. know dobby said this so not going to repeat it all but...i think i agree

in general still looks like a townsperson doing towny things? there is a slight worry shes used my wrong reads as a springboard for getting mis-elims but. content hasnt raised alarms for me

i guess the biggest #fear from katze is i culd see the way shes played the later days as a straegic positioning kind of thing taking advantage of what other people were suspecting. but her early game was pretty good and i dont want to be too biased on recency because i think it gets harder to distinguish town from mafia when theres only one left

when i was rereading the game from the start under the pretense that one of you/cape/hk/dobby had to be mafia my feelings were worst with your posts so i dropped the vote on you, read a bit more, then checked out for the night

but i don't really think that you've... explicitly played in a way where i can clear you for not plotting out a path for victory? cause like, as you said, you're already in a really good position if you're mafia so you don't need to do anything fancy to get The Path - which i guess is your point "why push HK if i dont need to do anything fancy" but eh. maybe i'll add that to the list of things to think about but the easy answer is you don't want to look too complacent in a gamestate where most people are kinda wehing and, well, not complacent

i understand and i'm still not completely ruling out saying "bringing cape to F3 is bad kill cape" but i'm... exploring. i'm thinking. if i spend a day or two overthinking it just to shrug and kill cape and he flips mafia then oh well that's mafia whats new, if i do the overthinking and he flips town then i'd at least have a silver lining of not entering F3 completely blindsided

i'll get back to you on my read on you later in the day if it still holds/becomes more concrete cause rn it's really just down to "i reread most of/some of D1 and my guts telling me it makes the most sense so far" (and i can conceivably see what dobby was saying earlier that you're trying to advocate to bring cape to F3 to ML him there)

as for HK... i just feel like they have the most going for them? like:

imo they're the person who's coming at this game from the most genuine perspective, the way wolves treated them feels a lot like how they've treated villagers (a few of ladds posts on HK felt flat out like TMIing him town) and i honestly don't think HK would agree to be like, the designated deepwolf, tbqfh.

and ultimately they just feel like a villager to me? this is totally an experience im sure everybody can relate to when they just sometimes have players in the game that just Feel Like Town. wowee
