13er summer game thread

Man it was great. I was mentioning how I was shad in pokemash and cuth is you and how I swerved him when he was pocketing me and stuff. It was dramatic.

Anyway katze the simple fact is wolf achro at lylo at least before f3 has no reason to ever turn on cuth there when I was being top tr'd by him and a known town also tr'd him. What was I trying to accomplish here? Solving.

I feel like this is intuitive and straight forward. It requires no hoops. If you had crossed me like you threatened and cuth is town I would have won, katze. I could have crossed you then and there. Winston may be my buddy in your world but cuth was top town reading me. Now maybe that scenario isn't 100% true. Maybe town cuth woukd have found it odd. But I certainly had no reason to then do a massive dump on my top town read.

Anyway moving on but the wolf mentality is just not there at all imo

but also I am tired now and I realize somewhere today I posted a breakdown of my thoughts on SK day 3 already and how him trying to cross insomnia before cuth could even respond to me raised, like, a million red flags for SK and got me to change my mind on insomnia.

At no point after SK posted that did I do anything but grill the fuck out of SK compared to Insomnia.

SK posts response hitting my weak point, defends multiple town reads of mine (cape, dya, and taffy - reversing earlier stance) gets me to back off due to all of this.

Day 2

Re-evaluate, realize I was probably too soft on SK and vote there again. Ask for Ender's help. Ender votes me. Nothing else happened day 2.

Day 3

I start thinking about the game, I realize cuth has done some things I find shall we say disagreeable at eod. I relate to my own scum game. I think cuth >> benneh >> insomnia in terms of confidence.

SK says he will read the Cuth posts later and says he will cross Insomnia in an hour

My immediate reaction: the fuck you are (pretty much lol)

And from there it was a lot of suspicion, I dug out an old game, and suggested winston to kill SK.

If the team was SK/Me/? insomnia was a pretty terrible target given the 3 way way between benneh/winston/katze tbh. Someone from town would misvote there if 2 of you were town imo. Maybe it's simple for me to say because I know my wolf game, but it also feels incredibly intuitive to say as well.

I think my SK thoughts felt rather rapid but weren't really. I mostly ended up liking SK because I thought he was unpaired from visor iirc.

But yeah, I think I did everything I could today. I am proud of myself for getting over my nerves and crossing correctly. That shit is tough. I kept waiting for a good answer (FMPOV still hug bros) from cuth and I kept not getting them. So I... took the plunge.

I think to put it simply for cuth, the smoking gun that he says he explained but I disagree is why he was in insomnia with 4 minutes left with SK but never voted benneh once at eod when he said he suspected him and I offered to NOT vote visor in exchange for that wagon, when benneh was in his top tier scum with sk and insomnia was below in a pool with you and I think taffy maybe? someone.

It just doesn't have a good explanation. Yeah, he voted sk at 7:58 at the very end, but before that if he had used his thread pull to kill benneh with me he could. Yet he claims, despite me not being in his broad poe at any point or I think even mentioning suspicion of me at that eod, that I was the reason to not vote benneh? When visor/benneh was part of my solve and I was willing to concede visor for one of his top scum reads?

He says he has answers. And... they are words, but I think even from just an objective POV it's twisting into knots. If cuth was town, I am 100% confident he would have voted benneh with me to remove a vote from visor. It's just good townplay to vote with your town reads, but today he acted like I was suspicious to him but there's nothing backing that up in thread.

So I reasoned he is a wolf. And I hope you and Winston can too.

but i did think it was pretty likely towards eod given i did believe pretty strongly in sk at that point and they were one of the people not killing visor and our reads lined up a fair amount

but i wouldn't call that finding them like i didn't really assess their posts individually and decide ah yes this is a villager it just got there towards the end of the phase based on how stuff was playing out

I am glad my relationship with mafia is (much) healthier now than it used to be. Day 2 really was like my first bad moment all year, improvement etc.

I am in no position to judge votes, but what I am critiquing and I believe fairly is the thinking process behind those votes. Your posts for 47 hours of the Cuth were spotless. You did a great job. But I couldn't reckon your EOD actions with your reads list, and nothing you said made it better for me personally and that's what led to my vote.

So here's what I think happened.

I think start by the start of day two you and Benneh, the deeper wolves, had figured out that SK was expendable for thread cred and I am sure this was reinforced by Katze over here wanting to just shrugyeet SK. He was, in mafia terms, damaged good. Honestly, he probably dies a lot more cleanly Day 2 without an FPS but hey what can you do. So you and Benneh, the informed minority, know SK is a wolf and Visor is town for all of the day. You accept the FPS because it's fun, but when Ender drops it you go hard defense and bus SK like you two were always planning to do, with a faint hope of maybe getting away with an Insomnia chop if possible until last second.

There are two wolves remaining, there are three people alive who were on Visor.

The question katze and Winston need to ask themselves, among others, is 'I am a town on Visor. Why can't Achro be a town on Visor too?' What good does it do me to try to push over Visor? If visor ISN'T killed, I am obviously paired with my scumbuddy and I look terrible. Same applies to the other two. When SK was thought of a shrugyeet who could POSSIBLY want to kill Visor except for silly, uninformed town members? Even SK himself only joined minutes prior when it was a matter of survival.

There are two wolves. Two members left from the SK wagon. You positioned yourself to win, and you use it as a hammer against those who didn't have the answer. A perfectly executed use of your informed minority status to wrest control of the game once SK flipped except your EOD just doesn't quite make sense. It's such a tiny flaw in an otherwise beautiful game. Too tiny, I think, for most to even look at it twice. I am only hoping, as we enter perhaps the final hours of this game, that I have done enough to be convincing for my fellow townies to see the good in my flawed and uninformed view of the world.
