and more indirectly, waza seems to be seen as the easier target (not as a wolf-read target, but as an alignment-indicating target) and is being treated as such by too many people

pretty much all of d1 has revolved around waza/vaimes, which started with vaimes repeating waza and then turning it into a kumbaya experience

hally help, i think we are in similar boats here where we tend to be players who are quite generous when it comes to giving townreads

and i think if we both forced the issue we can both probs find weak/some reason to tr everyone here. i notice you felt the same dilemma or implied as much in one of your previous posts

so ive gone back to look for instances where i was too generous in one of my initial snapreads and one of them stands out, if you can do the same for me and hit me up when you do...im curious if we get the same result or not

i don’t know, i wouldn’t be surprised if basically any of the reads i’ve given are wrong because there’s so little to work with and it’s really easy to wolf when you only have to make 10 posts

but i don’t really feel like trying to spin my wheels to figure out who i could have misread, people just need to post more and raise the bar of villageriness or it’s basically throwing darts

i have a couple hesitations on how cape formulated their top town reads but i think i'm probably more likely to pay attention to that kind of thing than normal atm due to my recent history of like five straight wolfrands or something so i'm not putting a ton of weight on it

As a wolf in 1 of their last games here. Like i distinctively remember the post but i tried to look for it with some keywords and couldnt find it lol

I've randed wolf twice in high activity games since the last time i played here where i was also wolf but i don't think you were in that game but whatever

i think I'm overanalyzing it but it felt like a little bit tmi'y on like hally and then actual reads on the top two but throwing in stuff that wasn't villagery so that they didn't have to commit to it

like if they found two people actually villagery and then felt like they needed to have a third

but it's the thinnest thing and i really didn't Want to explain it

I'll try to use a better proportion of words to reads in the future~

I stand by my Hally read and the fact Hally was, and still is towny. I don't think wolf admits to lurking while also saying that they didn't have anything interesting to say, like I townread that because I think wolves would WANT to say something there (I would say it's kind of similar to Hally's recent read on you #171 except for the fact that Hally literally didn't do anything even slightly useful there)

A lot of #95 feels like unfiltered thoughts which I do think shows a towny mindset, the unfilteredness also ties into why I townread the other 2 posts I referenced to a lesser extent.

I don't really know why you didn't directly just say this if you had this concern about my reads instead of being convoluted about it

i think he just means im an easier slot to talk about or one that draws people into wanting to make a read on me or at least try to in one way or another

I mean simply that more focus is being put on waza out of the two and that IME that's usually the villager of the two

they both made the same "oh wow no hyper posting to start the game" remark. also emulated my post, and visor's. none suspicious on their own, altogether curious, especially with how vaimes utilized the copied observation specifically to get a townread from waza and anyone else engaging

I would say there is a distinction between waza and Vaimes saying the game was starting slow, waza expressing no surprise and Vaimes seemingly being more caught off guard by this.

Here is how I interpret how the convo was

1. waza questioned Vaimes' vote on you because he was sort of townreading you for saying you were going to lock visor in as town AND he felt that Vaimes' #13 was too casual of a comment towards you assuming that Vaimes voted you because of something you did. I see the thought process behind waza's argument as if the push on you was serious, waza would expect Vaimes to maybe question something you did in the moment to try to solve you.

2. Vaimes clears this up by saying that the vote was random and placed just because and that waza was making a lot of assumptions.

3. As soon as this is cleared up, Vaimes asks waza some questions and through this clearing up of the misunderstanding, waza finds Vaimes towny

I don't really see Vaimes weaponizing anything to make waza townread them, I fail to see what other observation they shared rather then the no hyper posters thing
