Please help me, I think I have a horrible case of indecision, because I sat at the faction selection screen last night for a half an hour. I cannot seem to decide if I wanna play the English, The French, The Germans, or The Romans.

    any suggestions?

I am sorry for any confusiuon, but I am refering to the Eastern Roman Empire, as it was known. It was not called the Byzantine Empire until the 17th Century.

depends on which campaigne your refering to early, high or late. If you havn't played them yet play as the germans in early period, they are the most challenging faction especially if you get attacked early(first 10 years). you get few good generals so you must use the ones you get to their fullest, lord lion is your best(4 stars) but even he doesn't show up until about 20 years into the game. anyways the game rocks with any faction. cheers

oki will say some factions best periods for you cause im a good little boy (always wanted to use that )

Almohads (or elmos) = Early or High - but expect problems in high

Byzantines = Early or High - In high you dont have constantinople and less land

Egypt = Late - Havent been them yet

English = Early or High - In early more land but in high better units

French = Late - More land

Germany = Not sure Late probably as brill troops

Italy = Any - Loads of trade

Polish = Early - more rebel land to conquer

Spanish = Late - More land and better troops and Almohads are weak

Turks = Late - Byzantines are weak and have good units like ottoman infantry and JANISSARIES

    That is it really

NOTE This is Post patch and before any modding to include other factions
