Thread: New unit wish list

This is my unit wish list for the expansion:

    1. Field obstacles, ie stakes, caltrops, abatis, etc. This is what protected the longbowmen and made them so effective, this is also what broke the Burgundian charge at Nicopolis.

    2. War wagons

    3. Lithuanian light cavalry, historically the Lithaunians threw their lances, so give em a unit that can do so like the jinetes.

    4. War elephants. Timur used them. The year 1399 is just not what it should be in Anatolia and the middle east without Timur.

    5. Deli cavalry. Light cavalry of Serbian descent used by the Ottomans

    6. Serbian heavy cavalry. Changed the tide at Nicopolis, distinguished themselves at Ankara

    7. Polish militia. Front rank armed with spear to fend off cavalry, rear ranks with crossbow. Yes I stole this idea from my DBM army list. Give the poor Polish a break, playing any faction after you play them is a breeze.

    8. Chivalric Polish Retainer. Let the old retainer be available throughout the periods, and let the Polish upgrade their retainers in the later periods.

    9. Kapikulu cavalry. Turkish heavy cavalry. Give them a lance and high charge bonus.

    10. Naffatun. Cavalry used by the Mamlukes who spiked their lances with...naphta

Another thing I'd like to see is to have all armoured units both infantry and cavalry fatigue quicker in the desert. It seems at the moment only cavalry does so. I'd also let armoured cavalry from the middle-east be a little more resistant to the effects of the desert clime. They should be used to it, no?

Damm....I thought Deli cavalry were ham and cheese-slicing horsemen

3,5,6,8,9 are all posible without a CA expansion .you should
post this in the "request to the community" thread in the dungeon

10,7 altough the unit types are interesting idon't believe you can mod them with the additional weapons ,altough a spear unit with bows could be possible I guess.

    Here is what I want:

Munga-Manga Berserkers: front ranks armed with scythes, swiss pocket knives and bad breath; while the back ranks ride elephants yielding machine guns with unlimited ammo (they can bring a load with them to the battle on them elephants). Armor: 20, Attack: 20, Defense: 20 with valor 0; can hide in any terrain and get attack, defense, and double speed bonuses in desert, temperate, lush, and forest; +20 attack bonus when attacking cavalry; immunity to missiles; morale: impetuous until the last enemy has been driven off the field.

I'de like to see a kind of infantry (possibly a foot knight) armed with a mace. I'de aslo like to see a lightly-armored flail unit. I just saw "Conquest" on the history channel and I would relly like to see CA give these "wierd" weapons a chance. Possibly a type of mercenary/militia unit armed with a crow's beak or, of course a mace or flail. I don't really know which faction would use them, but I understand most Western European factions such as France and Germany used 'em.

I really want to see a medium infantry unit for the Muslim factions aremd with a Scimitar (the wide ones) and a small, round shield (like the ones the Futawaas use) and NO BOW Something like arabian swordsmen or somthing of that nature.

Archers on walls. I'll keep saying it Since the VI will incorporate boiling oil in some way, the should make the walls a little thicker, and before the battle let youy put them up there.

I'de like the provinces of Poland and Hungary split up into smaller ones. It's too easy to cripple a faction if you take away a province the faction is named after

Definitely B-52 Boombers, with nuclear payloads in the late period...Obviously they could land and then become super units with 30 attack, defense, morale, and bonuses against everything that can have its head chopped off by a propellor. They'd beat the manga-manga guys or w/e...
