Just a question for those who like to murder the whole royal family with a bunch of grand inquisitors ...

I have noticed that when after a first unsuccesful attempt the victim gets either the V&v Honest, Atheits or Heretic.

Heretic works and the -4 Piety applies whihc makes the target an easy prey in the following turn.

On the other hand Atheist (Piety -8) does not seem to work and the Piety does not get any lower ...

Right? If yes has it been fixed with the patch or will it be in the add-on ?

I noticed the same thing pre-patch but have yet to test for it post patch.

I haven't paid attention to that either, but I know a Noble getting this Atheist vice is easy prey for the Grand Inquisitor. If you can get it on the Pope he's gone.

It doesn't change with the patch I have had this happen to a king I tried to kill off he got the Atheist vice but he still had 5 piety so my Grand Inquistor couldn't torch him.

There's been three Devout, God-fearing Atheists(?) in my current game.
Two were torched in double quick time but the one, an 8-star Spanish general no less, has been in the comfy chair for five years now as the guest of two of my 4-star inquisitors but is still only 5% likely to crack. Surely he should have given in by now.

If the Pope is an atheist then shouldn't they elect a new one? It's a pain cause I have an athiest pope but the bugger always has 0% chance of getting crispy. Even though he has no piety what so ever.

actually i've never seen this vice. I guess because most of my games are with the Byzantines, and we all know how god-fearing and religious they were, although the occasional bout of massacring prisoners did occur. MUHHHWAAHHHHHHHAHAAAAAA. sorry, I just had a glass of the most disgusting wine I've ever tasted and I've been acting weird since then. My friend brought it over and claimed I'd like it. Some kind of disgustingly sweet Malaga wine. Ecccchh, glad she took it home with her or I'd be tempted to drink it again and see if it was really as bad as I thought.
