Not much, especially when compared to Shogun. In Shogun you got a little movie about how Japan was placated and your clan ruled until modern times; hell, you even got a statue in Tokyo somewhere to memorialize you. The movie does a flyover of some neat coutnryside, something to sit and watch.
But after winning complete game (100% Victory) in MTW all you get a picture of you sitting on a throne, surrounded by your aides and few babes.
Then the credits roll for about ten minutes. Oh well . . .

if you turn the music off, however, the voice-over for the endgame screen won't come on, either.
at least that's how i remember it
Its good but i feel that it could have been better

The credits are really nice. Sketches and music.

You get a nice voice telling you how you rule forever, everyone is under your heel and stuff. Pretty cool, only ever bothered with the Byzantiniums though. I like their special units.
yep , the end in mtw sucks to say the least. Not only its 'spartan' in the sence that you just get a static badly made screen ( i though this stopped being the case the last 20 years , i was wrong) , but even the words are more or less the same variation of how great you are and how glorious your civilisation is. They really should do something about it , no impressive movies and stuff but at least some nice information/genealogy/list of battles stuff of your empire from the beginning to the end. That would keep people from quitting the game b4 it ends...

It would be nice to have the replay of how your empire expanded and how P{owerfull it is in relation to other factions like Civ3

I was hoping for some statistics like that z stat file or something. With battles won, battles lost, casulties suffered, casualties caused, etc. Though, I llike the music and scetches. And when I finished as france the guy said 'Viva la france.' And I thought that was very funny. Not for polotics mind you, but rather it sounded funny. It sounded like the guy at the beginning of the game and the guy that voices movement in the battle sequences. 'Viva La France' Said he. That was my favorite

The credits keep looping if you leave them on .
You guys must have a different version of the game than I do.
My games all end with great fanfare as credits roll accompanied by funny out-takes from the campaign. There are all kinds of hilarious stuff like when my generals gave the wrong orders getting everyone massacred, or then there are the really funny scenes where either Danny Glover or Mel Gibson muff their lines. This is followed by a choice of different endings. My favorite is when John Travolta and Halle Berry end up with all of the loot.
Boy, I hope they do this kind of stuff for the future games.
Cheers

Yes, some statistics could be nice.
Have u seen the finish scenes of WarcraftIII?? Thats the kind of things i expect from a game which i spent so many time...

You mean the references to starcraft or what? Or the end video ? The videos done by Blizzard are high quality indeed, the rest was too cartoony for my taste.

In STW there were two movies after you won, one describes the history of Japan after your victory (very long movie). The other was the one described by ichi.Originally Posted by [b

In all seriousness, I agree that the ending to Shogun was far superior to that of Medieval. No matter how many campaigns I played, I watched it every time.
The final static screen in Medieval is just a bit lackluster. A vast improvement would be to simply have a slide show, like that in the credits, of period art or period tapestries like the Bayeux example. There is a ton of stuff out there that is in the public domain, and could easily be used. Throw in some generic terrain fly-overs like those in Shogun----maybe an artistic plaque listing the final stats of your campaign, and viola--you have a memorable ending that people would watch everytime.
Cheers

Hehe yeah "out takes" to the tune from the end of "there's something about mary" would be sweet.Originally Posted by [b

Yeah a picture of the Pope begging for forgiveness at your feet as you hold a sword over his head... that would be much better than the current oneOriginally Posted by [b
