erado...I have to post this here because I cant post anywhere else at this stage due to new member restrictions.

Q. i am using a notebook to play Medievil but it runs to slow...totally unplayable. with the patch release, does it make it any kinder for lower end systems ? or is there anything that i can do to get the game to run properly ?

Shogun/MI run perfect on it but Medivel seems to require much higher specs.

I have a toshiba TE2100 notebook, is P4 1.7 ghz with 256k ram, and 16 meg graphics. I know....the graphics capability is low...but any ideas ????

ALso..I forgot to mention.....I have tried lowering specs in game options menu ... this did not work.

There may be some glutches with your sound card, try to disable the sounds.

Mist I play on a notebook similar to your's: 1G Athlon, 256 MB, TridentCyberblade 16MB on WinME. I set resolution to 800x600, no smoke or fauna, sound qual low, gamma correction low. Battles work fine, multiplayer not bad (up to 2v2), campaign playable, but with white patches that disappear when I either scroll left/right, or zoom waaaaay in.

The patch works, but didn't (couldn't) improve my vid card's ability to render all those map textures on the campaign.

When I first installed the game on my notebook, I had the wrong driver, now with the correct nvidia driver and a fresh game install it runs great.... :0)

That's good news, Mist, and thanks for coming back to report the fix. BTW, for the benefit of other patrons with similar problems: what vid card do you have, and which drivers fixed the problem?
