i got this problem playing the game after installing the patch. playing the game as italians and suddenly feel that something is wrong: it's allready a year 1194 but i didn't yet get the compass, there was no chivalric code, some more... i can't understend how could it happend?
and one more related question: when all those events happen? are thera fixed dates? or it depends from something?

A patched version of the game should have all those goodies included. So it seems a bit strange that your game has given them a miss.
As far as the compass goes, I'm not sure what the year is that it is supposed to pop up. The Chivalric code should have popped up by now.
The only things I can think of that may have caused some of these event to miss out are:
If you can't stand watching the computer think between turns, and are prone to hitting the space bar to skip it, you may have missed a bulliten or two.
If you haven't built any ships yet the technological dynamics of the invention of the compass may be lost on your faction.
All in all, sounds a bit strange though. You're not continuing a pre-patched savegame post patch are you? (of course you aren't but just in case)

didn't miss it for sure. about ships: i am playing as italian - ships are vital - i have a suprem naval force.

Compas show up later, after 1210 I think, but for sure you should have received the chivaleric code. I play also with the Italian, but I am only in 1150, I hope it's not related to the faction...

english got the compass in a 1172. checked it out.
ok, I was wrong, as my campagne will continue this night, I will let you know if I get the compass or not (hope I will).
BTW I noticed some other bug, I have the ghulam body gard witch look like feudal sergeant on the strategic map not on the field...

started over compane for ital's and again there was no event in the beginning when pop Urban II asks all countries for support
The year is 1120SOMEONE HELP
Is there anyone how can help me? just today checked started over campaign 3 times to check: one time there where 3 his. events, 2 times there was no at all played first 13 years each time (1087-1100). HELP
