Is there some way to enable the Varangian Guard in the Late period on SP skirmish? Also, is there anyway to make various units such as Clansmen and Almughavars playable in skirmish? Any help would be appreciated.

Yah...big problem with that, maybe they have become ceremonial units so that they can't fight anymore but thay are awesome. I WANNA GET EM OUT AND HOW THOSE swiz pike whos boss...but can't, byz really is not good at late.

Lehesu, make a back of the file 'crusaders_unit_prod11.txt'. Then, open it in wordpad (not a word processor) and look for this line starting with 'VarangianGuard'. It should look like this -

In that line, you have to change EARLY, HIGH to ALL_PERIODS. You will then be able to build then in all eras.
Gothic-Lobster, the patch removed the bug which allowed anyone to build Swiss armoured pikemen anywhere. Now, you can only build them in Switzerland.
