Im playing as the Almos GA Exp and I cant break through the spanish. They have Castile, Portugal, Valencia, and Lyons (whatever) They are pumping out thousands of men and then continually launching crusades against me in Calabria (whatever its called). So far I have repulsed their crusades and must have killed at least 5000 spaniards (I kill the prisoners too - I dont want to have to fight them again) Just when I amass enough of an army he launches a huge crusade at me - thus reducing my army and there we go again building up

The AUM are a great unit i just cant build em quick enough to counter attack - How can I get this devil off my back - I really dont care for his lands but he just wont stop breaking cease fires and alliances

there should be a penalty for breaking alliances like that - like everyone should hate you or something

    any ideas

Build mosque and grandmosque and send out a Jihad I believe it would help your GA, wouldn't it? Attack them before they attack you, sack their cities, destroy their chapter houses and churches. Send out imams to convert them all. This is Holy War

Here's a thought: Build a Jihad, and keep it on ice. Evacuate the territory he always crusades against right before the crusade arrives. After the crusade takes it, launch your Jihad at it. You deal with the Crusaders and create a whole bunch of instant troops in the process.

In case you are still interested in tips I have a couple of suggestions. They are, at least in my opinion, a little on the cheesy side but have worked for me in my war against the Almos in a Egyptian campaign of mine.

    1) Build about 8 or so spies and concentrate them in a Spanish province. Then have one or two of your provinces building spies to replace any you lose. The spies will eventually cause a rebellion, that isn't really strong but distracts them for awhile.

    2) Use your emissaries to bribe some of their regulars. This will give you pillaged loot, destroy some of their buildings, and if you are lucky enough to take over a province before a counter-attack then you can torch the whole province which gives you cash and slows their production.

Like I said these strategies can be a little cheesy and expensive. They definently won't win the war, but can delay the Spanish one or two turns long enough to launch an attack of your own. :D :D
