Prince Portraits and more...

I've had MTW since it came out. Quite some time ago I decided to alter it to play all factions (turns out it was a lot easier than I thought, eh&#33
Anyway, I discovered the Prince portraits then, and would like to know why they are never used. Why are General Portraits used in their place? Or where are these portraits used? Is it a glitch?

Also just as an aside... the other day I was playing as the Aragonese, and although I was allied with the Almos and the Spanish I wanted to seize Valencia for myself. So I invaded with a small force of men only to discover that the Kalifah himself was joining the battle with a much larger force. He took the brunt of the casualties while my force encircled the Valencians and delivered the final blow. At the end of the battle I was given a message reading Your alliance has one the day, although it was decided that Valencia should be given to the Almohads. Annoying but fantastic at the same time I thought I'd seen everything in this game.

good question; since princes are automatically assigned to units, they get the general portrait by default. it would be interesting (and different) to get the proper portraits instead. someone in the dungeon can probably help you change the proper text file to make this happen.

it is weird that prince has the same protrait as general,nevetheless,one of my prince only 16 years old,but he has rough beard,I was shock,he looks so old in age of 16...

a bug i think,
just ran a process monitor to check if all the folders and files were in correct place/name etc.
and Medieval doesn't even look for prince portraits
- it loads the generals portraits whenever you click on an heir...

(hardcoded - can't be changed - sorry - added to bug report listing)
