cd key in use

[Yagyu Jubei]

I have had two of my wonderful Yagyu warriors buy the expansion and after installing they try to play online. Only to get the dreaded cdkey in use message.
What can be done? One of them went right out and bought the new game in full. The other is hopping mad at EA and refuses to give them yet more money!
Any help or directions would be appreciated.
Tried to go to Eradosans forum today, but all ezboard seems to be down!
