Ok, I've read the manual, but its a little shifty... so...

If i create a custom formation, like a V, is there any way i can reorganize my men back into that formation after a battle? Or do I just have to manually put each unit back in place? I hope not because that can be quite a pain, and there isn't always enough time to do so.

As far as I`m aware you can`t save formations...

however, you could try pausing the game, then issuing the movement commands before restarting.

Not ideal but the way that I approach it.

If anybody does have a way, I`d like to know.

Yes, a better way would be grand.

Try hold formation (i think its that button).

Many times my men go back to the position i put them in.
    example:
Archers are behind my inf. and shooting when the enemy get to close they skirmish back. Then when my inf are pushing forward, the archers go back to the spot where i set them up.

It doesnt help all the time, but you can try it
    There I see my father.
There I see my mother, my sisters and brothers.
There I see my line of ancestors back to the beginning.
They call on me and ask me to take my place with them in the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.

I really don't think there is any way to make and save a formation; perhaps modders could do it?

Welcome to the Org Mr. Juice.

CA would be elevated to divine status by many here if you could create your own formations.

    Well thanks for the welcome.

Too bad about the formations though. Oh well, Byzantium seems to be spreading across the map regardless.
