Armies getting messed up

How do I keep 2 or more armies the way I assembled them after the attack or defence is done. It seems that the computer rearranges them. That just pisses me off.

If you click on the little arrow by the over-head map, a list of options should come up. Deselect clean up units after battle.

I was asking the way to stop auto balancing of multiple armies after the battle in the region.

Ahh, neat I have been dragging along a stack of garrisoning troops but always one step behind my army so they don't get absorbed each time. This will help

I never let the comp clean the units up, he messes my whole armies. The disadvantage is that you also have to merge the little unit-rests after battle.
