my most succesfull battle

I am playing the french and the aim is full domination of the map. I have defeated the germans, danes, english, almoheads, castilians and portugese and have the egyptians on the ropes.(ok i am cheating also, using the 1 million credit cheat and have used almost half of it)

I made crusader army that when it came to egypt counted 3200 men. the egyptians never knew what hit them. I didnt have to fight them before taking Jerusalem and sieging the castle there because i had two other armies in egypt and when the crusader army arrived i moved them into sinai while the crusader army struck by sea.

the battle of jerusalem, me defending:

crusader army:3000 men
egyptian army 2800 men

i had 1 cannon, 2 archers, 3 spanish jenisets, 2 feudal men at arms on foot and the rest was nights

when i had placed the men and opened the game i had a trebuchet directly in front of my cannon, but i couldnt fire at it for some reason. i had my jenisets in the front to act as archers. The egyptians moved forward and made the jenisets withdraw and the cannoncrew rout, i made them go to the rear so i could get reinforcments. And when the egyptians tried to get inside my lines my nights struck. I routed the egyptians first 16 units and found my units on top of the hill were the eyptians came in. As soon as the units appered on the map i attacked and routed them. I had to send some units to the rear when they were almost gone. Of the 32 units in reserv i used 4. When the battle ended the egyptians had lost 1400 men dead, 600 pow. I had lost 200 men.

my aim now after the crusade is split up after taking jerusalem?:fully deafeting the egyptians and then attack the russians that are the easiest to fight, then austria and then italy before going aginst bysantium. Will end the game in a battle for constantinopel and using a army consisting of 12 siegeweapons and 4 strong units to assult the castle and blowing up the castle

If you used the 1 MF cheat and it's half gone and your current assault army is ... what 2800. How will you keep paying for your units when you start on the Egyptians, Novgorese, etc, etc?

well, it wasnt my only army. I have two 16 armies in the livonia, 1 in finland, 5-10 facing the germans that i was at war with plus 1 16 army and one 10 army going into Arabia while the crusaders went into Jerusalem. Have atleast 1 unit in every castle i controll. Have a depleted army in Ireland of about 10 units, same army as counqered the island. In brittain i have 1 army under construction and 2 more. Plus that i have several under construction.

A few turns after beating the egyptians from the mainland and defeating germans alltogether i start the final campaign:war against everyone at once and i have taken the entire papal states, italy has only one cast left, the russians are on the run and the only state capable of defending itself are the austrians. I leave the bysantians for last and crush the golden horde in the mean time.

Anywho - perhaps the Trebuchet within your cannon's minimum range.

your Constantinople battle should be fun with that army you're planning against a high level castle. you could bring in some reserves if you want and have them march in after the artillery ammo is depleted and the crews withdraw.
