Playing Byz on Expert Level , Late Period

I've previously won a couple of games as England in the Early period, so thought I'd give the late a go so I could get to play with later units

Gunpowder event occurs about 1250 as I expected - I then built bell foundry in Constantinople and Bulgaria, but no Gunpowder units appeared in my build list

Have I got to build any other structures to get Bombards etc.? Or is it a bug - can I force the gunpowder units in?

from memory - (not at home) - you prob need something else in the build queue like armourer's guild. Actually 1250 seems a bit soon things get going in the 1300's.

But I must check my facts

He shot his arrows deep into my heart.
He has made me grind my teeth on gravel.

If I remember correctly, the Gunpowder event happens at one date, but you dont actually get to start building them until another dater. Seems kinda silly but its got to do with how soon it made it over from the fareast I believe. They discovered it then it took some time to make its way into full incorporation into armies.

    oh according to my info
    early is 1087
    high is 1205
    and late is 1321
all the gunpowder units are Late only.
You can build the buildings as soon as you get the gunpowder event but it is not until the actual late period that you can get the units...1321
Looks like you started playing in high period not late.

I believe in Jedi Knight II, in the Cairn Installation, after entering a room with a pillar that is targeted by six tripmines, you will hear an Imperial officer's voice on one of the control consoles saying

    TK421(or is it 624)?, report

    TK421, respond

    What is happening over there?

I believe you have to build a bell foundry, before you can build Bombards.
A canon foundry will enable you to build demi-culverins.

TK421 is a reference to George lucas's first movie and he like to put bits in his stuff. TK421 why arn't you at your post is from star wars when luke and han take the Storm Trooper uniforms. (just a bit after that)

George Lucas' first movie was THX 1138. That is what you have been talking about. And he did use it in future films, like American Graffiti, as one of the characters' license plates is THX 138.

Edit: Duh, it is also what Lucas used to name the THX sound quality standards.

TK421 is the designation of the Stormtrooper in Star Wars that Luke pretends to be - TK421 why aren't you at your post - In the Novelisation it was THX 1138
