    Question

Sorry if this is a really basic post. I received MTW free with my new PC and am quite literally addicted to it (and have been for about the last three weeks&#33 However, there was no user manual explaining the game structure or how to solve basic problems as it was a bundle of six games in a box (Thanks PC World&#33

I am doing ok, I prefer running in Campaign mode rather than controling battles. But... After running up an incredible amount of credit (around 60,000) I now keep running into the red and am not sure how to solve it I have control of almost half of Europe but not much income. I have high levels of farm land almost everywhere and merchant guilds of quite high level in most lands, but still nothing.

Can anyone either tell me where I can get a user manual to download (if I can?) or help me at all?

    Thanks
    Adam

Build lots of boats. Spread them out.

There you go, all you need to know. The boats will link up to make trade routes and the cash will just flow in.

    I have a similar problem to Adam_P,

One thing i'd really like to know is how to transport troops across water? Do you use boats? And if yes which ones? I can move units like priests/assassins/emissarys no problem but i cant move troops... Can anyone help?

Also, ive been playing the Bryzantines in an Early Period Campaign, i control approx. 90% of europe, i have troops stationed at every province, high-level structures, yet rebellions keep comming up... I leave taxes on very low but i still get lots of rebellions... Is there something that i should be doing to further prevent these rebellions?

Any help would be much appreciated

Which boats do you have to build? Or can it be any boat?

The ToC should have most of what you need.

the only way you can prob get is to buy the official stratagy guide... here's the list

    medieval total war strat guide

it will prob have more info than the user manual that came with it.. otherwise email manufacturer and see if you can get one there, never seen it in pdf form, or anywhere online...

Hi Adam_P and welcome. Who is this Manuel fella and why is everyone losing him today?

Seriously, have you explored the CD that had the game? Or one of the other CD that came with the PC? Maybe there is a PDF version of the manual on one of them. The strategy guide is another option as is checking out the Table of Content (ToC) thread that Hop mentioned. For the basic of combat, run through the battle tutorial and jot down the commands it teaches you.

I hope that helps. BTW, if you do find the manual on one of the CDs, could you post back and let us know? It may help someone else in the future. Thanks.

jayrock to you have a bundled version of MTW too? I thought maybe the bundled versions might have a PDF manual included.

BTW, in the Table of Contents there is this entry: Keystroke Guide

and this one: Close Order Drill

Those should help you get around the battlefield. Check out the rest of the ToC for information on many other game topics such as rebellions, naval issues, trade, etc.
