I was wondering what use the University, College of Surgeons and Military Academy have. Descriptions in the manual and strategy guide are nonexistent. The game's descriptions are vague too. I know the Military Academy is used to make Janissaries. I'm guessing, from the game's descriptions that Universities increase acumen of troops and Military Academies increase command? Anyone know anything about these buildings?

I think thats basically it mate. College of surgeons adds +1 health i think and a university would probably add happiness to the provence its in. As for the military acadamy,i think it helps with honour or experience for troops produced in that provence but the only faction it really favours is the turks. Lets hope VI expands on the technology tree in the normal campaign which it obviously will.

Welcome to the Org, er, um, Poopy. Interesting choice of name and location. Do you really want to go around these forums with that name?

I refer you to Robin Hood: Men in Tights..

Latrine..... that's an interesting name. How did you come by it?

I changed it in the 9th century

    You changed it TO Latrine?

Yeah.... used to be Sh*t house

Many people prove that in their lifetime, they have learned much. It is unfortunate that all to often, stupidity was the teacher.

College of Surgeon: +40 to happiness. Other effects are not very clear. I think it only effects the province it's built on.

University: no clear effect or none at all. It seems that the University effects the acumen, influenced some good V&V. The effect seems to decline over time.

Military Academy: Military Academy add 1 discipline to all unit trained in that province. In some cases, discipline is important for Knights and others units that have the may charge without order description. Discipline prevent these units from charging without order or at least make the charge less likely. As v1.1 of the game, only the Turk needs it to train the Janissary series. There isn't any proof that it would increase the command of the newly train unit but it seem that you can crank out a bunch of 1 and 2 stars generals after you built the Military Accademy. The effect seems to decline over time.
