jones, can you tell us more about your system? Also, how are you connecting - dialup, DSL, cable? Could you be more specific as to what happens when? Do you have the MTW patch installed?

Download and install it if you have the US/European version of the game.

At what point do you get disconnected? Do you go online from within MTW or via GameSpy Arcade?

3) install the patch
4) exactly where in the online process do you get the disconnect message? Immediately? When you try to chat or set up a game? Or join a game? Or click on begin battle?

The importance of patch... I wonder what patch-like changes there will be in the Vikings Xpack...

A couple... the game info packet is much smaller, so modem hosting should be a more realistic prospect... and there are some fixes for people being disconnected while entering the battlemap - previously this killed everyone's game, now it should just tell you they've been kicked once you get there.
