We all remember the irritating sound bug from MTW 1.0: During a battle, the sound effects would suddenly be replaced by hissing static…very ugly. This was fixed with the 1.1 patch and I, for one, had no further problems with it. Well, when I installed the Patrician 1.2 Mod on a fresh installation and update of MTW that problem has resurfaced Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, is there a “fix”?

Also, is there a spreadsheet or Readme for Patrician that lists the unit stats? I am having extreme difficulty in determining the relative value and usages of units over time as new units become available.

That is the first I have heard of sound problems with patrician.

I think there is something wrong with your system and you are asuming everyone is having the same problem. In moding Patrician the only sound changes are in the baby cry event and the torture event wich has nothing to do with Battle sounds. I strongly suspect you may have a hardware issue or driver issue.

Also, is there a spreadsheet or Readme for Patrician that lists the unit stats?

Yea download GNOMES program for the unitprod and buildingprod files. The game tells you very clearly what each unit does when you click on its icon.
Please post your problems and issues in the forums\dungeon\patrician available thread. Telling people that absolutely have no clue as to what patrician is does not help at all.
Thank you for the help. The sound bug was, as I recall, a specific bug that was identified and addressed by the MTW 1.1 patch. While my system may indeed have had a problem, others did too and the patch fixed it. Why has it resurfaced after being fixed? If no one else has seen this with Patrician, then I do indeed need to examine my setup. I cannot imagine what the problem is since it does not occur in unmodded MTW, only with Patrician.

The in-game information from clicking on the icon is helpful, but inadequate. And I am not at home right now so I cannot look, but is the GNOMES program you mentioned included or do I need to download it from elsewhere?

And I would LOVE to post to the forums\dungeon\patrician available thread, but alas, as a junior, junior assistant apprentice to the dogcatcher I an not allowed to.

    Thanks for an excellent mod

I tracked down the editor you mentioned by Gnome. That reference lost me for a bit. Thanks again.

I had some probles like what you described, as well as sound hickups in other games, but that is attributed to the hardware most of them time...

Why it happens after the Patrician MOD? I do not know, that's the thing that you remember installing on the computer, but it does not mean it is the thing that CAUSED it....
