    Hello All

I am playing with the english. The spanish launched a crusade against Egypt... But instead going to Egypt, it comes to navarre, and keeps going up until it reaches scotland .

And its not all, when he first atacked i retaliated, and got excommunicated but the crusade would still atack me AND steal my troops

I wonder if this is a bug, or if not, there is any solution for it ?

If it goes from Navarra to Scotland, then it is most certainly a bug. I thought such crusades issues had been eliminated in the patch.. Are you using the patch? If not, install it... If yes, I don't have a clue how you could fix that, let them rot in Scotland or kill 'em of. You're already excommunicated, so it doesn't matter anyway..

After the patch, crusades still go North or West (in stead of South or East to the target) sometimes. If you control most of the Northern and Western European coast and have an extensive ship line, it will happen very often. Most of the crusades that are launched from Central European provinces, that border your provinces, will likely try to use your ship line if they don't have their own. After the patch, I believe that the crusade must be in one of your provice ,which connect to a ship line, before they can use your ships. In other words, they have to use one of your port to board your ships.

    Edit:

    - If a crusade of a hostile faction move into one of your ungarrisoned province, they may take the province without noticing you.

    - As a Catholic faction, you will be excommed immediately if you stop a crusade from passing through your provinces.

Ah, so they have to use your ports to access your shipping line, that would indeed explain that.. I didn't know that.
I doesn't happen in my games though, maybe reducing your shipping line for soem turns will make the AI reconsider then..

    Playing as Italians:

I noticed that the crusades usually try to go through my land, in order to get to my ship line. What I do is NOT ally with any crusading factions who could use my territory. Since we are not allies they no longer use my ship line, and consequently don't bother to pass through my provinces.
