I found a thread yesterday in which some people were defending the x-pack's spawning reinforcements all over the map. Shogun is a great game, ain't saying otherwise, but you shouldn't defend bugs.

Anyway, I had a big 2k v 2k defensive fight, and finally hit on a way to slaughter well over half the enemy. After your first route, march your whole army to the point of departure of the routed units, turn around and march just far enough down to get your men facing back to the map, but be sure to be real close to the edge. The new units seem to form up somewhere in the middle, come running at you and then start routing. The depleted fragments make easy pickings next season.

Of course, this does make for an incredibly crappy gaming experience, and is utterly unrealistic.

By all accounts its not a bug, its a feature. Who has that as their sig?

Sorry, don't understand your question. If its a feature, it is definitely one of the worst ideas these excellent designers have had.

This feature was implimented by target i believe and while its fun perhaps reinforcements should have been restricted to that armys side of the map

When I was reading the initial brag sheet on MI, it was supposed to allow the player to set where reinforcements would come from and yes, it should be limited to the half map that the army starts on and there should be an ability for the units to rout off at their entrance area.

ALgesan you're right, it was told we could choose

    1. Wich units attack first and wich untis come as reinforcments

    2. When reinforcements appear

    3. Where reinforcements appear
Gloria y honor al Clan Celtiberos
Glory and Honour to Clan Celtiberos

Wyatt: I'll tell you crappy, mate. Playing an awesome game and having a defeat handed to me because the computer routed successive waves of enemies as they came onto the battlefield...I'm happy to say at least i'll count coup this time around.

Cheers! thanks for the headsup! (personally, i don't know what you consider to be the "ideal" reinforcement spawn point)
