Anyone willing to do some experiments for me?

Particuarly interested in custom battles using Kensai against YS ND YA WM NG on flat map.

Interested in wether kensai wipes out or routes entire enemy unit or how many troops the Kensai kills before he himself is killed.
I will assume the Kensai is charging in.
feel free to experiment with upgrades and costs'but i am just trying to work out how much value the kensai has'compared to complete units etc.

    Hach,

To be honest I don't think there's a set number the Kensai kills. I've seen him last 20 battles with hundreds of kills and I've seen him go down with 12 kills. It all really depends.

    Thanx m8

Just wondering more in MP if he's worth buying as opposed to maybe a hand to hand unit like YS.

Because the YS will be able to help in a Anti-Cav role and also Anti-Foot unit role as well so they are dual purpose whereas the Kensai is only the latter i believe.

Well Hach they are taken out easily by BN so it can be a waste.

    Hach,

If your going to use a Kensai - only use one. The reason is simple - their real usefullness is NOT in the damage they do to a unit - but rather their ability to lock the "facing" of a unit! They can and will take out any infantry (other than BN) they attack if they are fresh. However, when they tire they take severe penalties in booth att/def, making them susceptible to a "lucky" sword/spear thrust. However, if you use them to hit a unit first, the unit will "lock in" on the kensai - attempting to kill him (and failing if he is not Very Tired or EXHAUSTED), which gives you the ability to move to a flank or rear to hit them. The thing is that Kensai, while strong, only kill one man at a time - and while they can take 2-3 entire infantry units with them, this tires them to where they are no longer useful. Don't let them take out an entire unit by themselves, rather use them for their "shock" value and then flank the unit they engage - after routing it rinse and repeat.

Or do the opposite of what BSM suggested depending on your situation, once the unit is pinned by a regular unit, hit them in the flank with the Kensai quickly.

Have you noticed any difference then between Kensai fighting 60 men and 120 men units?
Does he suffer tiredness more with the larger units?
Can he wipe out 3 120 men units or only 3 60 men units?

Anyone able to answer my last question?

Does the Kensai perform better against larger units?

    Thanx
