Thread: Favorite 1530 Clan?

I'm still doing some experimenting with the game but I was curious as to what everyone's favorite clan was in 1530 or just in general. I find myself gravitating towards Mori and Takeda as they specialize in my two favorite units, Cavalry and Warrior Monks....though I find Mori a bit more likable and Takeda I see as a much more ruthless character.

I've only done Hojo, but Uesugi looks tempting, too. No plan to use Shimazu or Mori on the 1530.

I enjoyed the 1530 Takeda campaign.Shimazu and Mori were pretty easy.I'm still working on Uesugi.I haven't tried Imagawa,Oda,or Hojo yet.I think Hojo will be the toughest, being surrounded by Takeda and Uesugi.

There is no Mori clan in 1530.

I always use Shimazu. I like their Daimyo who love peace but yet skillful in the battlefield.
By the way, Alastair is right. There is no Mori in 1530, and it's the earliest.

its feels great to start your conquest of japan with a peasant army

1520 campain i would say for certain hojo is best (my campains crash me after bout half way grrrrrrr so i can't go through the whole way but hojo start is fantastic u have to divide between bribing/killing ronin or beating up the other clans. . it is fab

BTW the best 1550 clan IMHO is oda. . .u only have 1 territory but boy! u have some nice stuff!!! very satisfying. . now only if it wouldn't crash on me every game

I've just checked, The Mori clan does not exist in 1530 but they exist in the sengoku judai campaign.

The Sengoku and 1530 campaigns both start 1530. Both have different start conditions. Perhaps one is year 1530 and the other is Half past three on a different date? :-)

ReturnOfTheJordi is quite right. Both start at the year 1530 but for sengoku judai campaign they have all clans but for 1530 campaign they don't have Mori. For year 1580 campaign, notice that there is no Imagawa clan but it's Tokukawa clan instead. Tokukawa Ieyasu(?) is the guy who won in Segikahara(?) battle which was the biggest battle ever took place in Japan.

I like the Shimazu, I prefer to start in a corner of the island as you can't be attacked from both sides at once. There's also plenty of places for armories once you've conquered a few 'county' things in the north.
