The intro movie is from a japanese movie mate. They are japanese mate or chinese if you are talking about the first (loose) command to the archers
Further info in the japanese histoy section mate.

GARCIN: I "dreamt," you say. It was no dream. When I chose the hardest path, I made my choice deliberately. A man is what he wills himself to be.
INEZ: Prove it. Prove it was no dream. It's what one does, and nothing else, that shows the stuff one's made of.
GARCIN: I died too soon. I wasn't allowed time to - to do my deeds.
INEZ: One always dies too soon - or too late. And yet one's whole life is complete at that moment, with a line drawn neatly under it, ready for the summing up. You are - your life, and nothing else.

The intro movie at the beginning of the game is Japanese for sure but the campaign intro is suely not Japanese. Espeacially Mongol campiagn, when Kubi Khan is speaking it sounds either German or Russian. May be it's the language the Mongollian use? I don't know. But I know that it's not Japanese, I am familiar with Japanese because since I was a kid I have been watching Japanese cartoons (I am Thai). So I am familiar with the sound of Japanese, and I am sure that the language being used in campagin intros is not Japanese.

I know the Intro movie is from "RAN", Im talking about the intro movies to the campaigns...I've checked all the movies and it all sounds like Russian spech, Even the Japanese campaigns.
Also older movies from STW (like the victory movies for the various clans) are changed and sounds like they are speaking in russian. They used to be in english.
This is very annoying. Anybody else have this experience?
(please excuse my bad english)
I am experiencing exactly the same problem as you, Muchoman. I bought my Mongol Invasion in Thailand, so I don't know if U.S. products are experiencing the same problem but I assume that they do.

I think it's Mongolian. And it is in every movie *except the Oda mini-campaign intro* of mine as well. It's somewhat... confusing, but hasn't bothered me terribly. I would like to know if someone is *not* experiencing this problem.
