Amazing Daimyo

Hi all,
I was on a SP campaign and finally wiped out Oda in the last battle. When I clicked on the castle it said 20 men (including the Daimyo). I had no shinobi in the province so I could not see the unit. Next season the castle had lost 5 men and I had a shinobi there and to my amazement they were all the Daimyo's personal unit!

Has anyone ever seen a unit of 15 men all in the Daimyo's personal bodyguard?

What you saw may be, on the first season,the Hatamoto of the Daymio plus 1 (very) depleted unit on 9 men. On the second season only half of the Hatamoto remained. What a shame to die this way

Odd indeed.

First of all, when a daimyo has no place to run, usually he commits seppuku. Apprently this didn't happen.

Secondly, even if there was another heavy cavalry unit, the two shouldn't merge.

Now I have a question.

Sometimes the Daimyo unit has 11 men (10 guards and the man himself), sometimes 10.

Anyone knows why?

Isn't the diaymo's bodyguard replaced whenever it drops below 11? In which case you could be there a long time hoping the diaymo himself will die.

which is probably why the daimyo commits seuppuku, otherwise you'd have an infinite wait if his bodyguard regenerated to full every time, even if there were no available troops but the daimyop himself.
