Sir Robert Hardy's "Longbow: A Social and Military History" is in my opinion the definitive longbow book. In the latest edition there's an extra chapter about the Longbows on the Mary Rose - the largest ever find of Medieval longbows. The author was in charge of investigating and testing the longbows. He also is a longbow archer (and an actor).
