All I can say is that with History, even when you're forced to do some subjects you think you have no interest in, you find something that sparks you. For instance, I had to do a lot of 'Enlightenment' philosophy which was a chore, but it gives you a good grounding for understanding some of the ideas & forces that shaped the modern world.

Take the plunge before Charles Clarke does away with all university courses except Business Studies & Economics
